Acer Aspire AS5251-1805 15.6-Inch Laptop Review:
-The wi-fi card seems more rapidly than other units We have on my dwelling network. This is definitely an anecdotal observation, not from a authentic through-put test.
-The touchpad desires a whole lot of configuring. Out of your box it seems sluggish to react. Taking part in close to alot using the controls help, but thus far I haven’t set it to individual perfection yet.
-The actual physical presence is fairly desirable, however it has a fairly massive footprint (due on the massive keyboard)!!! The specs say it weights about 5.8 lbs., which We have no motive not to think, however it feels heavy.
-Written documentation from Acer is bare bones, and there’s no backup disk.
-Connection ports around the sides of your pocket book are as well close on the entrance. If you have been hooking up monitors (espcially on the HDMI port) as well as a bunch of USB units the pocket book would seem like a rats nest. It could not interfere with typing, but ain’t heading to become fairly. There are no ports from the rear.
-Case seems effectively created. The only element of your actual physical shell that seems to be weak would be the plastic strip running across the bottom of your Lcd. When I pulled off the protecting clear tape, the strip separated from the Lcd a little. The plastic dropped back into place without the need of a issue, but this element of your build is sub-standard
-Hard drive does not seem to become the quickest one I’ve ever observed (working with the testing plan in Win 7), but is built by Hitachi, which provides me a level of comfort.
